This e-learning tool is a full lesson in itself, where the student is expected to utilize the provided sources to actively learn about thirdhand smoke (THS). Ideally, this activity would be part of a health promotion and disease prevention course, along with tobacco education and smoking cessation. If assigned early in the didactic year, then THS can be mentioned in other courses where applicable, without needing to define and explain.
Two assignment options are provided, but feel free to use any method you like to assess your students’ knowledge and application of THS in the medical setting.
